Life with capacity – how E.ON is working with the new grid fee

On January 1, 2027, all electricity grid companies must implement a new grid fee that includes a capacity charge. The purpose is to accelerate the energy transition and use the grid more efficiently. For electricity customers, however, this means an entirely new set of concepts and a completely new way to influence grid costs.
