This year's theme

The role of lighting in a healthy work environment in a smart & sustainable Building.

The theme will be divided into three blocks: Light Quality, Sustainability, and Smart Lighting.

Glare from LED panels — an underestimated occupational health risk, with Hillevi Hemphälä

Associate Professor in Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology with a research focus on Synergonomics and the impact of light on humans.

Light quality and visual comfort

The visual environment plays a significant role in both well-being and performance. Despite this, many workplaces are designed with lighting solutions that create more problems than they solve. LED panels are now standard, but their high luminance and often insufficient shielding make them one of the most common sources of glare.

In this seminar, we look at how glare affects the work of the eyes and can lead to eye strain and, in the long run, musculoskeletal issues or headaches. You will receive a quick and practically oriented overview of why the visual environment is so crucial and how we can improve it by identifying and managing glare from LED panels.

How to create a flexible and cost-effective installation that gives you control over your building — with Sebastian Pålsson & Victor Ivarsson.

Business Area Manager at ateljé Lyktan witihin smart lighting.

Smart control

Why is lighting control actually needed? And why is it one of the most important aspects of working with sustainability and regulatory compliance, such as the EPBD?

We discuss the role that lighting and lighting control systems play in a building in relation to other PropTech systems, as well as different ways to bring everything together to maximize savings in operation and maintenance.

If you’d like, I can make this more formal, more promotional, or adapted as a presentation description.

Sustainable lighting solutions for people and the environment with Malin Gadd

Product Manager at ateljé Lyktan.

Sustainability

Here we present our vision of how we can create lighting solutions based on a holistic perspective where human needs are placed at the center. How do we create social, environmental, and economic benefits?

Through life cycle design, we include and optimize the entire product’s life cycle to contribute to a positive climate development with both biological impacts and emotional fulfillment. With optimized performance, durability, the possibility of reuse, and quality, we ensure consumption at a sustainable level.
